Week 1 Lesson 1: Analyze Your Own Making / by Rebecca Hutchinson

Welcome to the first lesson of Sculptural Form and Portfolio Development.

The purpose of this lesson is to understand your own work in a critical manner. By analyzing what you've made in the past, you will be better able to make work which reflects your core values and effectively develop mastery.

Consider the following questions:

Historically, what is your work about? What is the content of the work? What are the formal qualities of your current work? How long have you been making this work?

Using these questions as prompts, write 2-3 paragraphs detailing your past work. Post the paragraphs in the comment section.
